Manage Projects Form Password

If you are running HelpConsole 2008 on your desktop computer or over a company network, there is probably no need to password protect the 'Manage Projects' form, however if you are hosting a dynamic help system on your website or a web server that is exposed to the publish, it is recommended that you assign a password to this form to prevent unauthorized users from creating new projects, or deleting existing projects.

Follow the steps below to assign a password to the 'Manage Projects' form:

1. Run HelpConsole 2008 to display the 'manage projects' form. Click here for more information about running the software

2. Click the 'Password Protect this form' link.

3. The password prompt will be displayed. Enter the password twice. Click 'OK'

4. You will then be prompted for the password each time that HelpConsole 2008 is run.

To remove the password, click the 'Remove Password' link.
